PSL Squads

Babar Azam, who plied his trade with Karachi Kings last season, grabbed the spotlight ahead of the PSL 2023 draft. The Pakistan skipper was traded to Peshawar Zalmi for Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali. Defending champions Lahore Qalandars bought Fakhar Zaman and Hussain Talat in the Platinum and Diamond categories, respectively.

Peshawar Zalmi boasts a squad capable of winning the eighth edition. Babar and Wahab Riaz are the two big domestic players. On the other hand, they have explosive batters like Sherfane Rutherford, Rovman Powell, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and James Neesham.

Islamabad United snapped Afghanistan duo Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Fazalhaq Farooqi. They also re-signed Alex Hales using the ‘Right to Match’ card option. David Miller, Joshua Little, and Akeal Hosein will play for Multan Sultans, who topped the points table last season.

Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators, too, bolstered their squad thanks to impressive signings in the PSL auction. Imran Tahir, Matthew Wade, Andrew Tye, and Tabraiz Shamsi will turn out for Karachi Kings. Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators bought Wanindu Hasaranga, Naseem Shah, and Martin Guptill in the draft.
