With 12 points, the Titans are close to qualifying for the playoffs, while DC’s playoff hopes look bleak after defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday.

Gujarat Titans
Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar, and David Miller helped chase down 180 against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game. It was a clinical performance from the GT batting unit, proving once again why they are the favorites to lift the title. Gill crossed 300 runs, while Shankar hit his second fifty of the season. Hardik Pandya will be delighted that Miller is playing the anchor role to perfection for a second successive season.
Noor Ahmad has been GT’s star bowler in the last three matches. The 18-year-old spinner, hailing from Afghanistan, has eight wickets, providing excellent support to fellow countryman Rashid Khan, who has taken 14 wickets to his name. Like IPL 2022, Mohammed Shami is also picking up wickets regularly this time.
Delhi Capitals
DC fell short by seven runs against SRH despite a decent batting effort from two overseas players. Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh made half-centuries, but David Warner and Manish Pandey failed to spark. Earlier in the match, Marsh claimed a four-wicket haul. With Salt and Marsh finding their rhythm, DC head coach Ricky Ponting would be hoping for an improved show from the batting department.
The bowling unit had a match to forget at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. The pace attack leaked 113 runs in nine overs. Marsh grabbed four wickets. The spin duo kept the batters in check but couldn’t break SRH’s momentum with breakthroughs in the middle overs.
