In its first T20 World Cup appearance, India reached the last four. The then-Jhulan Goswami-captained side lost their tournament opener against England. But victories over Pakistan and Sri Lanka saw them reach the semi-final.
The knockout clash didn’t go India’s way as New Zealand cruised to a 52-run win. India also reached the semi-finals in the 2010 and 2018 editions.
